What's wrong with the weather? By now we would normally have blossoms on the tomato plants and the sweet peas would be withering in the heat.
Grass would be too tall to walk through and we would be sleeping with the windows open.
The first cutting of hay would be snug in the barn, ready for the summer drought. We'd be wondering how low the pond would get this year.
Instead, it has been raining for so long we haven't cut any hay, the pond is overflowing and there is not a sign of our summer crabgrass. Some of the Dexters are still wearing their winter undercoat.
It just ain't normal for Virginia. We're supposed to be in the South! Did someone turn the continent upside down when we weren't looking?

Gene I believe this year is a colder spring than last year . Our taller clover has frost bite leaves and some of our Dexters a undercoat too . 78 here yesterday actually sweating . Nights in the 40's . Had to replant most of garden last week and ground is damp and cool .

Could this be the dawning of a new ice age?

It's been weird here too. It started off warm and too dry and then turned cold and very wet.
We had to replant the garden too. But on the good side the extra moisture has really helped the pasture we planted to get started.
