Add another face to the Red Preservation Effort. Vera J. of Paradise had a little bull calf this morning. Her new owner called me this afternoon, so excited. She said everything went great, and she'd never seen a birth go so quickly. Both mother and son are bedded down in a nice warm barn along with older sister Wee Faethe. No name or pictures yet, but we'll get them to you in the next few days.
This is Vera's 2nd calf. Both carry red through their sire Macklynn and are in the preservation effort. We'll have to see if he's a shorty like his Dad.
Barb said he is cute as can be, and already chunky with a belly full of milk.

Bless the baby! Welcome him for me, if you will.
Oh, and congratulations to you.
The numbers are growing, thanks to your determination.
