This has been such a surprising year here at Knobley!
First after being blessed with only bull calves lately, and hoping for a much awaited visit from the "heifer fairy" (LOL) we were pleasantly Surprised with all heifer calves this year. Three little girls.
A rainbow... Our 2nd Surprise was one of each Dexter color - black, dun, and a traditional red.
The 3rd surprise was when we read their test results from Legacy/UCD. Three little shorties! All three are dwarfs (chondro carriers). We are thrilled and Macklynn our herd sire (also a dwarf) is quite proud of himself and his three daughters.

congrats. we have one Legacy dwarf and are waiting for her first calf. If she calves this year it will be a fall calf. she was a bit young and small so not sure if she breed before we pulled the bull last year. we may have to wait another year.

Congrats on the heifer fairy's visit. Do I foresee some colorful names? We need pictures and details.

We went old-fashioned with the names this year.
Cora Lynn (dun) and Wee Faethe (black) playing in the rain. Judith Triu trying to take a rest with her mom Triu.
Cora Lynn is Caitlyn's heifer and Wee Faethe's mother is Vera.
