Ok so maybe not but we are getting eggs. It was 70 this weekend and I saw the first bit of green in the grass. Feels like we should be having calves but still over a month before that starts here. Back to reality by next weekend rain, freezing rain and snow. in the forecast.

Yeah, it was 82 degrees last weekend! Grass is growing a little. Frogs are peeping.
I put 3 dozen Muscovie eggs in the incubator. I have no way of telling if they will hatch, but it won't hurt to try.
I need to find more friends that will come get fresh eggs.
Our first calves of the year aren't due until April.

Yes, We are warm too. 60-75F days all week, and warm nights too. T-shirt and shorts weather for sure.
The trees are budding out, and we have leaves on the roses now. As much as I/cows are enjoying this, and we really are; it's just too early yet. We had an early spring start last yr, hard freezes really zapped everything. We are going to get hit again.
Our calves will be coming around mid March.

It was 7 degs here this morning. A month ago I was just thinking I need to move up calving times. Glad now that I did not. We are still 2 weeks out for the first ones.
