Just when I thought I was going to make it through the year without pink eye. One of our bulls now has it. Hopefully it will be an isolated case and not spread through the herd.

Here's hoping you can contain it to the one bull and cure his case quickly.

so far just the one has it. It hit him hard and fast. He has been on the healing side of it since I first seen it. but it does take a long time to heal. Eye is totally red now the yellow has shrunk up now to just in the center.

I'm so glad I haven't had to deal with pink eye. I've heard some really scary tales about how bad it can affect the cattle.
I'm still pulling for you to have it turn out right.
Have you ever had pink eye yourself? I have and it was the most irritating thing. I was so glad to have it go away.

No never had pink eye. I dont think the human version is the same one that affects cattle. So far still just the one bull with it. You are very luck to never have had in your heard. Maybe it is not as prevalent where you are. I do not know anyone here that has never had it in there herd and most have to deal with it every year.

Glad to hear the pink eye is improving Mike. That can be terrible some yrs, depending on the strain.
We have had to deal with it a couple times over the yrs. Luckily our farm is back in the woods, with the closest cattle about 1 mi away. I think this has helped a great deal.
