The grocery stores here are now selling Kerry Gold Irish butter. I looked it up thinking it might actually be from Kerrys despite the drawing on the front of a black and white cow. It is not from Kerrys but is from Ireland. Not sure why it is called Kerry Gold unless it is from Kerry county but it didnt actually say it was. Maybe just using name recognition although I think the percentage of the public who would have ever heard of Kerry would be very small.

We have it here too. It would have been great if they'd used a Kerry Cow, but I guess most of the public now pictures the holstein as the milk cow and associates black with beef. Due to all of the marketing out there. LOL
